Event Overview
Before summer really kicks off, why not refresh yourself in the natural beauty of Okutama and enjoy meeting new people?
On July 5, we’re hosting a beginner-friendly walking event in Okutama. We’ll take a 2-hour walk while listening to the sound of the river, so even those who don’t usually go hiking can join with confidence.
You can participate in either Japanese or English. This is an event where you can relax in nature, meet new people, and enjoy casual conversation.
After the walk, we’re planning a barbecue for those who’d like to join. You’re also more than welcome to just join the walk!
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a student or a working professional. Spaces are limited, so if you’re interested, please register as soon as possible!

Dismissal at the location: Free time
We will officially conclude the group walk at Sawanoi Garden. Afterward, feel free to enjoy your time as you like, perhaps by exploring the riverside trails of Mitake Gorge or simply relaxing by the water. When you are ready to head home, please make your own way back via the nearest station, such as Mitake Station or Ikusabata Station.

Important Notes
Registration: A calendar invitation will be sent as soon as your registration is complete. The registration deadline is Thursday, July 2, 2026. Details about the event will be provided one day prior to the event.
Route: We plan to walk along the Mitake Gorge Walking Path on the day of the event. The schedule and itinerary are subject to change on the day of the event. Additionally, plans may be altered in case of rain. In that case, we will send you a follow-up email to confirm your participation.
BBQ participation: If you wish to participate in the BBQ, please contact alliz via email after registering for the event. Seating is limited, so spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you for your understanding.
Participation Fee: Participation is free, but transportation and food/drink costs are the responsibility of each participant.
