Event Overview
alliz Campus Talk is an initiative to bring mentorship experience to university campuses. It connects university students with experienced industry mentors to help them explore career paths and take ownership of their professional development early on.
This is the 8th event in our Campus Talk series. In this session, "Coding with AI: From Idea to Game," Gwenn Etourneau, Sr. Manager, Resident Team APJ at HashiCorp (an IBM company), will share how AI can help turn ideas into working applications and solve technical problems. He will demonstrate hands-on how to collaborate with AI to build a game, test it, fix bugs, and iterate, exploring a new way of approaching software development.
This event is exclusive to Temple University Japan students and is hosted in collaboration with the Computer Science department. It is designed to be accessible to all majors curious about the tech industry. No prior coding experience or technical knowledge is required—just come ready to learn and explore!
Who is this for?

Students seeking guidance on career design and growth
Students curious about tech and non-tech career paths
Students interested in mentorship opportunities and real-world insights
Students interested in networking with professionals

Topic: Coding with AI: From Idea to Game
What if you could build a simple game just by describing your idea to an AI?
In this session, we're going to explore how AI can help us write code, turn ideas into working applications, and solve technical problems , even if we don't know exactly how to implement everything ourselves.
Rather than spending the session talking about AI, I am going to use it. We'll start with a simple idea, work with AI to build a game, test it, fix bugs, and improve it along the way.
The goal isn't to write perfect code from the beginning. It's to learn how to collaborate with AI, guide it in the right direction, and turn an idea into something that actually works.
By the end of the session, hopefully, we'll have built a simple game and explored a new way of approaching software development.
