Event Overview
Learn with alliz is an online learning series where industry professionals share practical insights into their day-to-day work, tools, and roles in the tech field. Each session features a dedicated speaker breaking down their workflow and offering actionable takeaways for both students and working professionals.
In this session, “Career Compass: From Purpose to Profile,” Kei Tsuda, Founder of Ikigai Advisers LLC, will lead an interactive workshop designed to help participants step back from the job search and think about a more fundamental question:
Rather than starting with résumé formatting or LinkedIn headliner edits, we will begin by exploring your interests, strengths, experiences, and direction. From there, we will look at how that thinking can be translated into a clearer professional story across your résumé and LinkedIn profile.
This is a practical working session. Participants are encouraged to bring their current résumé and LinkedIn profile and be ready to reflect, write, revise, and exchange ideas with others.
The event is hosted entirely online and is open to college students, recent graduates, and working professionals at any stage of their career exploration.
No polished career plan is required. In fact, “I’m not sure what I want to do yet” is a perfectly good place to start.
Who is this for?
College students beginning to think about internships or their first job
Recent graduates preparing to enter the workforce
Young professionals considering their next career step
Anyone struggling to explain what they want to do professionally
Anyone who has a résumé or LinkedIn profile but feels it does not fully represent who they are
Anyone who wants to connect their interests, strengths, and experiences to a clearer career direction

Topic: Career Compass — From Purpose to Profile
A résumé and LinkedIn profile are more than records of what you have done. They are tools for communicating where you want to go next.
In this interactive session, we will work from the inside out.
We will first explore the experiences, interests, strengths, and values that may point toward your career direction. Then we will examine how those ideas show up—or fail to show up—in your résumé and LinkedIn profile.
By the end of the session, you should leave with greater clarity about your professional story and at least one concrete improvement you can make to how you present yourself.
Bring your résumé, your LinkedIn profile, and your questions. You do not need to have everything figured out.
