Event Overview
Even in a busy week, it's possible to find a few hours that belong to no one but you.
Join us for Linkyu Nature Awareness Walk, a monthly small-group experience organized by Linkyu. This time, it will take place in the wooded hills of Kamakura, where old shrines sit quietly among the trees. We'll slow down, breathe, and let the forest do what it has always done. The group stays small, up to 8 participants, so everyone has space to feel comfortable.
This walk won't solve everything, but it can help quiet the noise enough to hear yourself again.
This event is for you, if you are…?
Always busy, with little time to actually stop and rest.
Telling yourself you'll slow down later — always later.
Spending most of your day on a screen, wanting a few real hours away from it.
Simply craving some quiet time in nature, with a small group of people.
Linkyu Nature Awareness Walk in November ~ Forest Bathing on Kamakura's Hiking Trails ~
About the walk
Walking in the way Japan has always known
In Japan, many shrines are surrounded by a grove of trees called a chinju no mori, a place where the kami are believed to be present. You pass under a torii gate, and the air changes. The word "forest bathing" (shinrin-yoku) was only coined in Japan in 1982, but people here have been stepping into the trees to feel different for far longer.
The Japanese language even has a word for the light we'll be walking through: komorebi, sunlight filtering through leaves. We won't be hiking to reach a summit. We'll be walking to notice.
The route
Start at Kita-Kamakura and walk into the Kuzuharaoka hiking course. We pass Kuzuharaoka Shrine, follow the Daibutsu Hiking Trail along the ridge, then come back down to Ugafuku Shrine (Zeniarai Benzaiten, famous for washing coins in a spring) and head to Sasuke Inari Shrine, where fox statues watch over a tunnel of red torii. We finish at Kamakura Station.
Ugafuku is a popular sightseeing spot, but it still feels calm among the trees. Kuzuharaoka and Sasuke Inari are quieter still. We won't visit the Great Buddha.

Organizers
Linkyu
Linkyu (リンキュー / 灵与) is a project built around small-group nature experiences and coaching conversations, created to help people living abroad or going through transitions reconnect with themselves and find their next step. By creating a safe, trust-based space — in nature and in conversation — Linkyu helps people notice what they're carrying, clarify their thoughts, and turn insight into small, practical steps they bring back into everyday life. With a theme of rebuilding connections across language and culture between self, others, and the wider world, Linkyu brings people together through walking, breathing, and honest conversation.
About Linkyu and alliz:
Kangkang is the founder of Linkyu and a mentor on alliz. As alliz supports people in career exploration and transition through information, community, and mentorship, Linkyu offers this monthly Nature Awareness Walk as a gentle space to slow down, step into nature, and reconnect with what matters personally beyond information and networking. Participants who would like a coaching conversation to think through what's next for them can book time with Kangkang through the alliz platform directly.
